Mission Statement

The Chestertown Book Festival celebrates the literary life on the Eastern Shore by bringing to town a selection of local and regional writers, poets, playwrights, printmakers, and book designers. The Book Festival is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to promoting reading, writing, and book arts in the greater Chestertown area. Our annual festival provides a chance for locals and visitors to listen and talk to book professionals from a wide variety of disciplines.
