Harry Potter, Renaissance Magic, and a Passion for Books with Dr. Janet Sorrentino

The world of Hogwarts, however full of magical powers and wonders, was immersed in books: the need for books, the love of books, and the power of books. J.K. Rowling drew on a culture of books and magic that would have been very familiar to scholars and savants in the Renaissance to create Harry Potter's world we have come to love in her books.

The Harry Potter Read-a-Thon

Saturday, September 20, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Chestertown Branch of the Kent County Public Library

The Chestertown Book Festival and The Chestertown Harry Potter Festival will host the Harry Potter Read-a-Thon at the Chestertown Branch of the Kent County Public Library.
